Activity summary:

Education for development is the area of UNICEF activities that promotes the development in young people of values of global solidarity, peace, tolerance, social justice and environmental awareness and equips them with the knowledge and skills that empower them to participate more effectively in promoting these values. It does so through a learning process that proceeds from knowledge to action using cooperative educational methods and a framework of global concepts such as interdependence, social justice, images and perceptions, conflict and conflict resolution, change and future.
