In 1980, a group of international businessmen, judges and lawyers formed in Geneva the International Commercial and Industrial Arbitration Association which set up International Commercial and Industrial Arbitration Court (Cour pour l’Arbitrage International en matière de Commerce et d’Industrie, CARICI). CARICI arbitrates disputes in any field of international business endeavour, e.g. import-export transactions, insurance schemes, financial agreements. contracts of carriage, construction projects, industrial ventures, etc. These disputes can concern public or private corporations as well as sovereign states. CARICI has an international network of qualified arbitrators and experts, comprising leading personalities from all over the world, who are available to settle international disputes rapidly and efficiently.
