Activity summary:

The Henry Dunant Institute was founded in 1965 in Geneva by the International Committee of the Red Cross, the League of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and the Swiss Red Cross. These three institutions are the formal “member institutions” of the Institute. To a great extent, the Institute also owes its existence to the generosity of the Geneva and Swiss authorities.
The main objective of the institute is to make available ways and means of carrying out studies, research, training and instruction in all branches of Red Cross activities and thus to contribute to the strengthening of Red Cross unity and universality.
