The Confédération Mondial du Travail (CMT, or World Confederation of Labour) is an international union organisation which was created in 1920 in the Hague under the name of the Confédération internationale des syndicats chrétiens (CISC). Based on its declaration of principle, CMT has the purpose of developing a movement based on both the material and spiritual needs of the human being. The CMT works for a social movement which tries to reinforce solidarity between the poorest categories of society , with a special attention to the development of the Third World.
